- Last Whereabouts
- Left their hotel early on June 23, 2026 to hike the Hanauma Bay “Rock Bridge” rim trail; an unattended bag with their belongings was found near the Rock Bridge, and they are feared to have been swept out to sea.
- Outcome
- A coordinated land, air, and sea search by the U.S. Coast Guard and Honolulu first responders was carried out. Their names have not been publicly released.

Age 61 · Waiʻanae, Oʻahu
- Last Whereabouts
- Departed Waiʻanae Small Boat Harbor before dawn on May 20, 2026 to fish off Oʻahu's leeward coast; his truck and trailer were left at the ramp.
- Vessel
- His 19-foot white recreational fishing boat was found adrift and partially swamped about 18 miles west of Waiʻanae.
- Outcome
- The U.S. Coast Guard suspended its search after covering thousands of square miles of open ocean.

Age 59 · Skilled waterman · Kailua, Oʻahu
- Last Whereabouts
- Paddled out alone from Kailua Beach Park on the morning of October 19, 2025 — a departure from his usual routine of paddling with others. His one-person outrigger canoe was found overturned about 200 yards off Flat Island (Popoiʻa), and a foil surfer recovered his paddle; his hat was later located with the help of Coast Guard drift buoys.
- Outcome
- The Honolulu Fire Department, Honolulu Ocean Safety, the U.S. Coast Guard, and the DLNR — supported by Marine Corps Base Hawaiʻi and Bellows Air Force Station — searched by land, air, and sea from Kāneʻohe to Waimānalo, with firefighters diving roughly four times a day. The search was concluded at sundown on October 22, 2025 after three full days.

- Last seen in the evening of September 23, 2025 near the entrance to Queen's Bath in Princeville on Kauaʻi's north shore.
- Outcome
- The U.S. Coast Guard and Kauaʻi responders searched thousands of square miles before suspending the search.

- Last Whereabouts
- Last seen on September 23, 2025 in the Hanalei area of Kauaʻi; he went missing in the waters off the island's north shore (a separate case searched in the same vicinity as Kyle Barrett).
- Outcome
- The U.S. Coast Guard suspended the search after extensive combined efforts.

Age 42 · 6'0" · approx. 180 lbs · Experienced fisherman
- Last Whereabouts
- Launched his vessel from the South Point (Ka Lae) area of Kaʻū, Hawaiʻi Island, on April 7, 2025. He was last observed offshore near Miloliʻi around noon on April 9, 2025, heading north.
- Vessel
- Makalapuaonalani, a 21-foot Force with a 2-foot extension — a white hull with a light-blue cabin, powered by twin outboard motors — named for his daughter.
- Outcome
- The U.S. Coast Guard suspended its search at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, after Coast Guard and partner-agency crews searched 200,048 square nautical miles over more than 242 combined hours. Responding units included the Coast Guard Cutter Joseph Gerczak, an aircrew from Air Station Barbers Point, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, the Hawaiʻi Department of Land and Natural Resources, the Hawaiʻi County Fire Department, and U.S. Navy Task Force 32.

Age 17 · Ke Iki Beach, Oʻahu
- Last Whereabouts
- Drove with a companion to Ke Iki Beach near Sharks Cove on Oʻahu's North Shore late on January 17, 2025; their car and belongings were found undisturbed.
- Outcome
- A massive multi-agency search was suspended. Samantha has never been found; her family has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to her.
